František Tichý (1896-1961), an important representative of the 20th century avant-garde, is known primarily as an author of scenes from circus and theatre. The Tribute to František Tichý exhibition includes 88 original sketches, prints and drawings from the estate of the family of Václav Valín. The architectural design of the exhibition was again entrusted to the prominent architect Josef Pleskot. The installation conceived by him realizes the intention to emphasize Tichý as a virtuoso draughtsman. At the same time, the exhibition does not fail to recall the friendship between František Tichý and the painter Zdeněk Sklenář.
