The centenary of the birth of Jiří John (1923-1972) is a rare opportunity to present previously unexhibited early works. It is an essential contribution to the understanding of his lifetime of work. The works on display come from the collection of the artist's brother Vladimír's family, who gave the Zdeněk Sklenář Gallery a set of 309 works and documents, some of which we are presenting.
